Hey, that’s just what New York needs: Buildings with targets painted all over them.

Actually, you know what the buildings really remind me of is the tentacles of a gigantic mechanical octopus, reaching out to devour and destroy the citizens of New York.

Whether this is wrong or not I do know one thing…I absolutely love Target and because of that I’m swayed to feel that this is just one more reason I like them and can’t stand to even try parking at a Wal-Mart.

I actually love Target. I just like making fun of the illustrations.

I guess I’d rather have one corporate logo yelling at me than a couple hundred different ones from a typical issue.

I’d like to see more of this in the future.

I love Target because they don’t sell products that were made in sweat shops…oh wait, that’s not true.

Blurf.

Still don’t quite get why this is a problem — better than the fashion special issue which weighs about five pounds and has all those advertorial inserts that pretty cleverly mock mag copy. Anybody who was taken in by this…

I love Target because unlike Wal-Mart, they give even their part-time workers full medical, and encourage their workers to unionize…oh wait, that’s not true.

Target: The Wal-Mart too cool to hate.

The last illustration is WON-DER-FUL! Love, love love it! (And I hope I got the hyphenation right.)

target is a big bush/cheney/rove contributor & it uses sweatshops & it pays slave wages. for that i hate that they’ve bought an entire issue of The New Yorker. However, i’m pleased to see so many illustrators getting (well?) paid commissions and that the illustrations are so brilliant & clever.

I just threw up a little… in my mouth, and it was red and white.

Whether you like the Target ads or not, here we are, all talking about them. What advertising! I found the illustrations fascinating and creative, which made reading the New Yorker more enjoyable than it already is.

How exciting…the marriage between Target and the New Yorker. Although I have lived in Arizona for many years, I still subscribe to the New Yorker because I care about what is going on in the city in which I was raised, and the articles are stimulating, provocative and thoughtful. Never before have I seen such a wonderfully creative group of illustrations which advertised a store merely by displaying the logo! This was definately a delightful surprise. Way to go Target!!

Deus virtutum, converte nos et ostende faciem tuam, et salvi erimus. nam quoquoversum se verterit anima hominis, ad dolores.

Quit forcing sex onto the comments.

You can buy rape porn at Target now? That’s totally hot.

LOL Taylor. Good stuff.

Are you watching the Tony Awards? Excuse me but isn’t Irwin Jacobs an
investor of Jersey Boys? What luck is that? Think I can get tickets?
