The annual Newsweek-Kaplan College Guide is out, and Macalaster has been named Hottest College For Liberal Arts. In a double-edged compliment, Newsweek says that much of the 1,900-student body ends up at Mac because they don’t get into Harvard or Yale. “It offers the intimacy of the archetypal small-town campus — in the middle of the Twin Cities.” That’s right, we take the Harvard flunkies and shove them in the inner-city.
