First they gave props to Duluth, now the NYT heads to the Minnesota Vikings training camp in Mankato for a profile of new team owner Zygi Wilf. The Times was struck by his genial treatment of staff and fans and apparent ease with his newfound celebrity, on which he commented “All these years, people made fun of my name… Now it comes in handy.” Zygi seems to be a hit with the homers as well, especially after trying his hand at Minnesota nice by giving quarterback Dante Culpepper more Minnesota ice with a contract upgrade.
