President Bush will be in town tomorrow, stumping for his Medicare plan… that was passed in ‘03. The Strib’s Hotokainen and Wolfe drop an MSM classic sure to heat up the Powerline crowd: “Seeking to call attention to one of his biggest domestic achievements…” Attention away from… what? But the rest of the article plays ball, saying, yes there will be “widespread confusion.” Thousands of old people with new forms with odd dollar amounts and little type: a recipe for a desperate and chaotic situation requiring honest and able leadership from the top. (See, we play ball here too.)

oh whatever, he’s actually in town to sell through the social security platform that is having a tough time catching on. also, he needs to get rid of the buzz that he’s a sitting duck this term so I’m sure there will be some more finger pointing at THOSE PEOPLE in D.C. who won’t cooperate and blah blah blah. wave the flag my friends!

yeah i wasn’t planning on going myself, but if i remember in two days i’d like to see the text of his remarks, since the privatization push tanked so badly in the medicare demographic (remember “AARP = al qaeda”?)

I think he just wants to get some crab legs at Joe’s Crab Shack and then buy some shirts at the shops at Arbor Lakes.
