The Fergus Falls city council rejected an MTV request to have teenagers re-enact a prank they pulled in December 2002. The prank, in which “six teens went to three homes in Fergus Falls and rearranged Christmas lawn ornaments into sexually suggestive positions,” seems to have really, really upset the victims. (Although I bet the garden gnomes didn’t mind too much). In a typical and contrived move, MTV has asked another city to pretend to be Fergus Falls for the purposes of the show. Pelican Rapids declined. It must be in the water.

I’m sure Pelican Rapids didn’t want to sully the image of the “world’s largest pelican”.
