The Guide to the Montparnasse District of Saint Paul, Minnesota cleverly maps notable cultural locales from 1920’s Paris onto the streets of ol’ Pig’s Eye. Instead of the Catacombes you find Axe-Man Surplus. James Joyce is holed up in Metro Cash Register. And somewhere on the St. Thomas campus, you’ll surely find spring lovers frolicking in the shadow of la Tour Eiffel.

I never realized my neighborhood looks so much like East Berlin.
