I think the affliction that causes the poor parking jobs is called “Minnesotan”. Particularly prevalent among the natives.

All the laws broken are traffic laws. The blog will get boring pretty quick if that is all they look at. From where I sit now, I can see graffitti, a store that sells cigarettes to underage kids, and a guy who looks high waitingfor the bus.

Oh no, people along Nicollet Mall crossing the street against the light?? Someone shoot all those idiots before more people think its a good idea~!
That guy’s mind is going to blown to shreds if he ever goes to a big city.
Also, I misread the title of this post as “Somali Laws” so I feel like I just got rickrolled or something when I actually clicked through without paying too much attention.

I agree with KC. Call me when some interesting violations occur and when the blogger isn’t long winded about them.

People who park like stupid asses is annoying, but I’m wondering how it’s against the law? Parking laws aren’t usually subject to all traffic laws (with the exception of accessibility and property damage), and most of the rules of the lot are usually enforced by the business owner. Why doesn’t he just notify the management about the offender?

parking laws = parking lots. Sheesh.

Ignorance of parking lot etiquette, and of general driving courtesies, is evidence more of a general lack of respect and consideration for others. Which pretty much defines our entire social structure nowadays. Sure, you can hog two spaces; sure, switch lanes without signaling; sure, tell people to lie on their mortgage app because we’ll both profit handsomely.
Roadguy at the Strib keeps a running feature going call Moron Patrol. Here’s a sample. And a fine example of on-street parking, too.

We had a minivan parked in front of our house, with one tire up on the curb, for 2 weeks. We finally called 311 to get it towed, which takes 3 days. The tow truck came at 11:00 at night and the owner happened to be driving by and moved it, just in time. It has not parked in front of our house since.
