She canceled the debate

I remember a debate on tpt were Bachmann’s DFL challenger literally took apart Taxpayers League spokesperson Phil Krinkrie (no easy feat). Still, without a wave of “unlikely voters” in the 6th, Bachmann is likely to be re-elected, in my humble…

Literally Bob? That sounds messy.

I hate to say it, but Bachmann actually did something right for a change. Sure, it does nothing but help her to ditch out on the debate, but coming home for campaign events while the house melts down in the aftermath of the bailout vote would be incredibly bad form.

You have no idea how much it pains me to agree with any decision she makes, but it’s true.

Literally Bob? That sounds messy.

Ha ha.

Holy shit. I agreed with several sentences in that release. I feel cold inside.

I hear that from women all the time. It’s okay, tara. Go with it.

That woman seems supernaturally available to the media. She must drop everything when they call.

Considering past gems like “the Bachmann plan to return to $2 gas” and “the secret Iranian plan to divide Iraq,” can you blame them, Rat?

Let’s not forget Operation Lightbulb Freedom!

I think those bulbs are a good idea, but you should be able to have a choice.

I don’t necessarily agree with banning incandescents but there should be a minimum efficiency standard placed on light bulbs.

Let the technology work it out. Standard incandescents waste 95 percent of energy used as heat.

That’s less efficient than a sharply divided Congress! Hey-oh!

Oh, and Michelle Bachman is batshit crazy! Not for her vote or skipping the debate, just on principle.

I don’t necessarily agree with banning incandescents but there should be a minimum efficiency standard placed on light bulbs.

Actually — that’s what the “ban on incandescents” actually is. It’s a minimum efficiency standard that most people don’t think an incandescent light bulb can meet. Nowhere in the legislation does it actually outlaw the incandescent.

rich, good to know.

Although, what legislation are you talking about? Was there actually legislation introduced last year that said that? Or CA’s legislation?

There actually was, CINF. I want to say it passed as part of the energy bill in Dec.

This is one of the first things that popped up for me, CINF.

Elwyn Tinklenberg would own her in a second in a debate. Perhaps he already has. The guy has the goods and he’s the perfect DFLer for the 6th.

With a name like that I’m sure that guy learned how to be a scrappy fighter.

“I want to say it passed as part of the energy bill in Dec.”

Go ahead and say it, richg, because that’s correct.

Don’t say it rich, don’t say it.

The delayed Bachmann-Tinklenberg-Anderson debate finally took place last night in Stillwater.

Highlights: Bachmann: Not one dime for the bailout, ever! Tink: Conserve, don’t drill! Anderson: My campaign has no money, and I’m proud as hell of that!
