I saw “Old Wicked Songs” by Theater Latte Da last week. It’s excellent. As the reviewer notes, the performance by Raye Birk is truly impressive.
Also saw “Bad Jazz” this weekend at Open Eye. While pretty strange and manic at times, it also has moments that remind us that the arts and poetry and music are made even more powerful during trying times. The closing lines of “Good night and good luck” seemed to resonate particularly true.
