The IWW Starbucks Workers Union is an inspiration many of us on the streets in St. Paul. Here is a group of workers that has not only fought for their rights- but fought and won!
Color me uninspired. Erik got his $7.00/hour job back. Rah, rah.
I’ll never understand people who bag groceries, make coffee or do some other menial task (that requires no education) and expect to be paid a wage that buys them a house or sends kids to college.

“Forman said, Our message here is hope. We have shown retail workers that together, we can fight and win. Corporate America cant do anything to stop us. Im glad to be back at work, but the challenge now is to organize to make this a job worth having. This is just the beginning.”
You serve coffee in a building that is a monument to capitalism. There is no way that you will make the job worth having. Go to school and get a real job.

Color me unsurprised that most elitist thinking does not originate from the left. So a living wage is only doled out to those most deserving, and by that I mean non-union?
Firing someone for wanting to start up a union is pathetic to begin with, and about as un-American as it gets.
