The Depot is an odd one — a little workingman and workingwoman’s joint down near the old train depot. A nice enough blue collar bar, but a bit off the beaten track, so to speak.

I guess you just had to meet a few requirements and fork over 2,500 bucks to stay open, so I guess it’s up to the individual bars, really.

Saturday and possibly Sunday because of the holiday are the only nights where this is even an issue because:

1) the $ amount to required extend your hours had dropped considerably
2) even so, you have to have a lot of capacity to make it worthwhile
3) any and every connected RNC affiliate is going to be @ a private party drinking for free until 4am if at all, not @ bars. since this town(s) is dead just about every night @ 2am except Fri-Sat and the convention is on school nights, not over a fri-sat, I’m guessing there are going to be a couple of lousy drunks and a lot of bored bartenders come 2:30am.
4) sorry, ladies, I already have a steady date for all the good parties.
