It is the point when defense contractors also suck off the public teat. Corporate welfare. Puts dollars in Dick Cheney's pockets.

Probably just some bums looking for change.
omfg I’m funny. A barrel o’laughs!
12:31 pm
It was just last week that MPR was pitching a poll suggesting that Minnesota would swing to McCain with Pawlenty on the ticket, but I doubt they mentioned this amounting to an anointment of Governor Molnau.
Maybe this is all Minnesota PUMAs need to justify throwing away their vote, but I won’t call it rationalization because there’s nothing rational about them.
12:59 pm
Actually, Ron Carey is a lot funnier than you, kevin. Say, just where was Carey late Saturday night…
1:06 pm
What’s a Minnesota PUMA?
1:15 pm
I keep hearing that Pawlenty on the ballot would have a negligible impact in Minnesota…
@Rat
It stands for People United Means Action. It’s basically mainly all the Hillbots who still haven’t gotten over her losing.
1:16 pm
Party Unity My ***
I’m surprised you, of all people, wouldn’t know that…
1:20 pm
Having been on some Puma sites, it’s a lot of Democrat racist hicks making up any damned lie they can about Obama so they can pretend they aren’t racist, and blowing up completely if anyone suggests that they’re racists because that’s what they hate most of all is the race card. They love to play the “the race card” card.
1:21 pm
So is a puma like a cougar?
1:26 pm
There are probably a number of cougars who are pumas.
1:26 pm
Change that to “there are a probably a number of pumas who are cougars”
1:30 pm
AKA: mountain lion, panter, catamount…
1:30 pm
Yeah. In my mind, anyone who says the words “the race card” has disqualified themselves from having a reasoned discussion of race. The only reason that phrase exists is to shut down conversation and dismiss criticism.
Not that some people don’t have weird or invalid opinions when it comes to race, and, when they are making charges of racism that are flat out wrong, they should be called on it. But my experience is that the people who use the “race card” argument will throw it out the moment that the subject of race is broached. Even when they brought up the subject of race.
1:31 pm
panther, rather.
All names for Felis concolor.
1:33 pm
it’s easy to be in favor of Civil Rights and equality for minorities when you really don’t have any in your state (it’s like racial NIMBYISM). but when confronted with the reality of a black man becoming POTUS, well hold on just a second there, dontchaknow.
1:36 pm
I don’t so much use the term “race card” as much as I actually play it. You see, I carry small stack of cards in my back pocket that say, “That’s racist” and whenever I deem something racist, I slap my race card down on the table. It shows I really mean business. I think we’d have better racial discourse in America if more people actually played the race card instead of talking about playing it.
1:40 pm
Hold up, Daddy Yankee endorsed McCain?
I certainly hope that Barack Obama can get the Fat Joe stamp of approval.
1:56 pm
I’m surprised you, of all people, wouldn’t know that…
Don’t be. I’m basically sitting out this election. Aside from voting, the DFL gets nothing from me.
2:00 pm
I’m basically sitting out this election.
That’s too bad. I hope that doesn’t mean you don’t plan on voting. I’m with you on the DFL….the other guys, too. A pox on both their houses.
2:01 pm
Lucky DFL.
2:01 pm
I’ll vote because I’m a loyal kinda guy. But if McCain wins, I’m not going to be that broke up about it.
2:03 pm
My panther friend has endorsed Obama.
2:05 pm
Sheesh. From some PUMA comments:
“God I feel so helpless. How can they do this? This is not Democracy! This is Dictatorship, or State controlled like China or something!“
At what point did “democracy” mean “I’ll whine until I get MY way?” This is so much overblown, hyperbolic hysteria.
2:05 pm
Lucky DFL.
I don’t know about that. I was fairly active. Did grunt work other people didn’t want to do. Got insulted over the telephone. Swept up.
2:07 pm
At what point did “democracy” mean “I’ll whine until I get MY way?”
At the point where people started getting their way by whining.
2:09 pm
The squeeky wheel gets the grease…
…but it also sometimes gets tossed in the trashheap…

On the subject of political movies: Do not get within a country mile of Vantage Point with Dennis Quaid, Forrest Whittacker and a few others. It eats Alpo right out of the can.

um…er…uh…hmm…
2:17 pm
whenever I deem something racist, I slap my race card down on the table.
Ahh, that’s what all of those cards where for.
I’ve played cards during a race. I was disqualified.
I don’t think I get this race card thing of which you speak.
2:30 pm
Did grunt work other people didn’t want to do.
After which you ate some grunt food?

Cue Mr Bowie:
