For those of you looking to hit up some good parties at OMGWTFGOPBBQ08:
Quinn Gillespie and Associates put together a preliminary party list for both conventions that was e-mailed around Washington last week. But several people noticed a discrepancy — the list of the parties in Denver was 16 pages while the list for the parties in St. Paul, Minn., was only five.
Are Democrats planning on partying more? A spokesman for the Republican National Convention declined to comment.
It turns out that The Hill and The Distilled Spirits Council in conjunction with Cigar Aficionado will be throwing parties on Monday night of both conventions. All I want to know is where The Daily Show is partying. The Hill via Wonkette

Since I’m not hip to these sort of things, how will the parties work? Are they even possible to crash? Are they guest lists + hookers type thing, or do you need a ticket/invitation to get in? Can you buy your way in?
And most importantly, are any happening where I hang out? You know, Quang, Los Ocampos, Tracy’s Bar and Grill, White Castle, etc? I’d hate to walk to Pho Tau Bay on Tuesday night and encounter a party that I’m not invited to.
