Surfing clubs are communal blogs, usually run by artists, that make use of the unique characteristics and culture of the Internet. The earliest identified national surfing club, Nasty Nets, came in being ca. 2006.

Was that why you framed it in the context of historical art movements, instead of the “look what these gol-danged over-caffey-nated kids is up to now”?
