yeah, this is such a GREAT time for me to be jobhunting even more seriously than before.

I find it odd that any public schools are doing the Pledge anymore. We stopped doing it in 4th or 5th grade, so the late 80s. It just isn’t worth the fight, the school will always lose.

In what ways are school systems better without the pledge of allegiance as part of the daily routine?

In what ways are they worse? At my school, we only had to say it once a week and then after 5th grade we didn’t have to say it at all.

The are better without because they don’t have stupid lawsuits and they don’t have to suspend kids who want to sit down and not say it.

… plus removing the Pledge means an extra five-minutes of real edukayshun for the kiddies instead of indoctrination.

In my day we had a full day’s worth of indoctrination, and we liked it.

I don’t know, looking back I think I’d take the pledge over saying morning prayers.
