There’s so much local food writing going on, I think I’m going to add a second local dining day on Wednesday.

Has anyone ever been to the Craftsman, a couple of blocks down from Longfellow? I was there last night and had a chunk of elk the size of my head. Treated me right.

A number of times, Jeff. Me likey the Craftsman, but I stick to the tamer side of the menu. I like the patio as it feels like sitting at a friend’s place.

Oh yeah, the Craftsman is excellent.
And the patio has always been one of the best in town, even (or especially) back in the Molly Quinn days.

The Craftsman is our go to place. If you like cocktails, they have excellent ones. A decent beer and wine list too. On the cheaper side, I’d recommend the venison burger, it is super delicious. The cheeses are always good on the build your own cheese platter. I often go with the special, and I am always impressed.
I once had the BEST fish and chips of my life there. It was a special, but every time I go I hope it is on the menu again.

Let’s see, fat boy went camping with his overweight wife and ate and bitched the whole time, some chick went to a college dive and had a greasy burger and fries and another woman ate waffles. Whoa boy, life is exciting isn’t it? Maybe there should be a law that you do something interesting before you write about it.
