Local producer Bruce Fredrickson produced an award-winning documentary about Lester Young about 20 years ago, narrated by local VO talent John Farrell. Bruce had started working on it around 1983 and managed to get interviews with lots of local musicians who played with The Prez in St. Paul lively jazz scene back in the '40s, and Lester Young's wife.
