I remember it being not so-shitty about 10 years ago. Then, 6 or 7 years ago I bought a two-day pass and that was a huge waste. Never been back since. Never regretted it.

On the bright side, Hootie and the Blowfish won’t be there.

OneRepublic sure brings on the weak, and it’s too late to apologize for so many consecutive years of lameness.

With Father Michael on his way out and the new bishop for Mpls-St. Paul, they probably had a pretty restrictive criteria for selecting bands from.

I strayed away from cover bands since “Are you Experienced: The Jimi Hendrix ‘Are you Experienced: The Jimi Hendrix Experience’ Experience” broke up.

During Pangea Day we came up with a great band name: The Secondhand Rickshaws, from a guy whose dream was to own a new or secondhand rickshaw.

I just sold a short story (to this magazine) about a battle of the Steve Miller cover bands. Since there’s still the whole editing process ahead of me, I have opportunities to wedge in another band name if anyone has a good one.

I didn’t realize that Cities 97 was still on the air. So I checked them out online. Here’s the last 20 songs they played:

C’mon, do you really have to know the songs on Cities 97 to know what the songs are like? Mostly soft and mellow–with an occasional loud song to keep you from driving into the center abutment.

Well, at least Grand Old Day has an interesting musical line-up.
