I agree. The Yankees are boringly predictable.
This is why the Twins are the Twins and the Yankees are the Yankees. Let's see, should we go for Hardy or Teixera? Hmmm.

Just about every time we went to a game at the dome, you'd hear "fans" (quote marks emphasized) trashing GoGo loudly, which made me want to stand ...

If he had no license, shouldn’t the headline read “Poacher who killed son…”?

In the interests of full anal-retentive-ness, this PiPress link WORKED!
Also, I wish I had a cool bigamy joke (and/or cool joke about not buying American when it comes to swords)

Where does one even buy a son-hunting license?

@bob Pretty intense biofuels debate going on for the last hour here.

There’s pretty intense biofuels debate happening everywhere, Kevin.
It was been a pretty one-sided “debate” of late. A few nuggets of common sense are slipping through the Interwebs, from time to time.

I don’t care about anywhere else. Here it was the B20 thing or whatever. Tschumper wanted to block it. Fail.

Jokes about a child dying in a tragic mishap, and people call me tasteless for my comments about a window washer doing a swandive from the roof of the crystal court last december.
Talk about hypocrisy.

Talk about hypocrisy.
Not at all.
The people that made those comments got called on them just like you did.

Wouldn’t you have to be sure that the same people who rightfully called you tasteless for making implications because the victim’s last name might not sound like yours would be guilty of making the same tasteless remark?
I’d hang back on this Klaseus fellow. I think he’s been through enough.

Students Expelled For Buying Swords On School Trip
This is so comically stupid.
Unless they had some evidence that these kids were going to rip people apart with these swords this is a ridiculous decision.
What do they mean when they say “expelled.” Does that mean something worse than suspended, which would be stupid enough?
6:37 am
The other day I heard this guy say one thing and then later a completely different guy said something else. What a bunch of hypocrites!
6:42 am
Usually expelled means, “kicked out,” Rat.
7:12 am
Expelled implies being given the boot in perpetuity as opposed to suspended, which suggests the academic equivalent of a “time out”.
The repeated use of the term “expelled” in the WCCO piece seems pretty clear; these students were permanently cast forth.

This is probably the stupidity of ‘zero tolerance’ policies made manifest. They give administrators no leeway to determine suitable punishments. But after all the media attention on gun violence in schools, out of fear the boards create these idiotic policies.

Yep. A few years back, we had to push for a state law that would allow kids with severe asthma to be able to carry their meds with them at school (which was beeing denied due to “zero tolerance” drug policies). Kids were at risk of dying because of this stupid policy.
The law passed by a uniamous vote, BTW.
Mark Twain said it best:
“In the first place, God made idiots. That was for practice. Then he made school boards…”

The think of the children crowd… Really so much bad policy gets made because of fear. Stop being such chickens. Bad things happen, but only rarely. Kids are statistically safer at school than at any other location.
