It can now be revealed that all of those comments were from rex.

Does this mean no fools will be posting?

“Srsly guys, that’s getting really corny.”
Possibly, but there is a kernel of truth to it.

Lived there in ‘91 during the series with the Twins. That was interesting times.

Sweet phlegm of youth: This quote from today’s Minnesota Daily caught my eye.
As a bartender at Stub & Herb’s Restaurant and Bar, nonsmoker Jake Shulte feels the positive effects of the ban on smoking in bars and restaurants – literally. Shulte said since the smoking ban took effect he believes his lungs have been healing themselves as he has “coughed stuff up.”
A Stub & Herb’s bartender praising the smoking ban! Who would have thunk it….
9:17 am
and now he’s out a job
9:18 am
ever since Sue Jeffers left, he’s got not only the Freedom to Breathe, but the freedom to speak his mind as well.

True dat, grote. Some of the hospitality workers who testified on behalf of local ordinances and the state law faced retaliation from their employers. They were pretty overt about it, too, in an effort to frighten other workers who support FTBA into silence.
11:42 am
Today is “Kick Butts Day,” boys and girls. So go do that.
11:44 am
I ran out of smokes last night, so I haven’t had any today.
But, uh, I’m probably going to get some when I get off work. Sorry bob.
1:55 pm
You’re just a slave to a defective gene, wayne.
1:56 pm
You’re not the boss of me bob!
/BTW, I’ve already had 5 today.
1:57 pm
I also think we should have a “Smoke ‘em if ya got ‘em” day.

Already been done, aliecat. Meet the sponsor.

He’s a pistol, alright. Ask him how he got his college nickname, “Boner.”
PS: Next time the Cool Kids goes to Manny’s for bacon, “Boner” wants to hang with you.
3:35 pm

3:38 pm
Not to be outdone, the Austin Kids get splattered (dead tree only).
10:48 pm
Bob, please don’t turn semi-open threads into referendums on issues that you happen to get paid to publicize. There’s a word for that behavior, and it’s not a nice one.
7:20 am
I slept on it and still can’t figure out what the word is.
Speaking of vices, did you catch this news piece?
What an odd article.
7:41 am
kevin?
Don’t get your undies in a bunch, Bunny. Your word is law here. I’ll be a good boy.
Besides, I’m home sick today. The bug finally got the better of me.
PS: If I find out that teucer has stock in Hormel, I’m blowing the whistle on Bacon Boy….
9:03 am
In the spirit (if not the letter) of Sparber’s Law, here’s a tip on an interesting item I saw on the Minnesota Monitor (sorry, no links).
Bad Question! Our own Jason DeRusha shares some viewer’s suggestions for the WCCO-TV “Good Question” segment that didn’t quite make the cut. Also see DeBlog for an update.
