Do we really need more storm troopers out there on thr roads giving out alot of bogus tickets? My daughter received two tickets for the same thing that had slightly different names. When I asked the officer why. he said this is their common practice. He said most people will go to court and the judge will throw out one of them. Tell me how a young woman who goes to school in St. Cloud and would come home weekends only to work to support her schooling can find time to take off from her studies which she took very seriously to fight those tickets. The only other choice was to pay both of them which she did. Not only did they cost $130.00 each she paid more for her car insurance for the next three years . I don’t doubt she deserved one of them, but not given two just because that’s the way they do it. I think they do this knowing most people can’t take the time off from work or school to fight these bogas tickets. It also raises more money for the state coffers. Maybe that is their reason since our present govenor has done nothing to help raise money for the roads.
