Daily Mole on Hiatus

Dutch – I lurve you more than Paul Douglas.

MNSpeak, you should totally lure Dude Weather to your pages. It would be the best thing to happen here, ever.

I like the Daily Mole and will miss it. I hope Steve Perry can make minnesota Monitor more of an interesting read and give minnpost some serious competition

All that hubbub about Daily Mole (especially relative to MinnPost) and now Steve Perry’s kickin’ it to the curb?

Feh.

Although it will be interesting to see what he does at the Monitor.

I will miss Dutch too. I’d love to see Steve hip up the Monitor a bit. I think this is a great move for him. Very cool.

NOOOOO, I need my Dude Weather!

If you want your online news venture to be a financial success, it might be best to at least have the ad rates ironed out before the launch. Hiring someone to sell the ads helps as well.

I really, really hope you can bring along Mike Mosedale. His perspective is sorely missed in Twin Cities. He left the CP shortly after Perry left. Any word on his writing whereabouts?

Well I can’t help with your Perry fix, but The Dude Abides.

Way to go Tom! Now learn a lesson from the Twins, and sign him to a long-term deal ASAP!

I’m underwhelmed. Do you have an arts/culture orientation? I certainly didn’t show in your approach to CP…

I bond with my 6 year old over dude weather. thank you.

Mike has been out in the Bay Area with his wife, ex-Raker Jennifer Vogel, who has been on a six-month gig helping out Mother Jones. I’ve spotted him around here a few times during the period, at a few MinnPost gatherings, but no copy at this point.

If he returns to local writing and bypasses MinnPost, I’m not sure if Mike’s excellent long-form work will fit into MnMon’s high-productivity model. Still, Steve is pretty agile at making room for things he wants.

I just hope Mike’s work winds up somewhere.
