They forgot CC Club for punker bars, but I’d say the list is fairly correct. (being a punker in my own mind)

Also, I say we start our own Happy Ending reader series open mic night. You don’t have to ask me twice to talk about the dirty dirty (aka FORNACATION). And with an audience too? Sweet!

apparently their restaurant guide ran out after 8, all restaurants are listed twice, so Lucia islisted 1st and 16th.

A few restaurants were listed twice. In fact their top 16 only has 8 different restaurants in it. And they miss some really good ones. AND I don’t think anyone would put Fire Lake or Cue in a top 8, probably not Spoonriver either.

I’d never recommend Fire Lake to an out of towner…unless it was an out-of-towner from Dakota County coming down for a Target Center concert.

Also, I think 7th Street deserves a mention on the Punk Rock list. Maybe in place of Seward…seems to me it’s just dirty hippies in there.

Correct me if I am wrong, but Chambers Kitchen and 20.21 are both owned/operated by out of town celebrity chefs. That’s not very minneapolitan in my book. You can get Jean-George and Wolfgang grub anywhere with a decent population. Bah.

I agree. The Seward Cafe is filled with gentle vegans. Not punks. Jeeze. What a faux pah.

I can see Chambers being on the list because JG tends to tailor the menu to the location so what you get there wouldn’t necessarily be available in NYC or Vegas. 20.21…eh the food is ok and nothing you couldn’t find anywhere in the world.

They miss La Belle Vie, Vincent, Masa, everything on Eat Street and East Lake Street, my favorite- The Craftsman, Solera, Hell’s Kitchen, and the Sea Salt Eatery.

It is a very poor list.

Just a reminder, Sea Salt opens in 67 days.

It is a poor list. A few that I’d add to my top 10 would certainly include La Belle Vie & Craftsman, probably also add jP Bistro as well. Quang (Eat Street) would be a consideration….

Gentle vegans, dirty hippies, these days both groups adorn themselves with anti-social facial jewelry and “full sleeves.”

The real punk rock move is to vote republican.

Well, either vote republican or eat out at LBV as much as possible. Maybe both.

Whew! I thought Max was gonna jump in here and accuse me of derailing the thread.

The real punk rock move is to eat human flesh.

No, I think that’s called “the Strom Thurmond move.”

Awhile back the Pioneer Press wrote a story about Punk Rock Vegetarian bands. They write songs against meat, and, I suppose, in favor of fruit and vegetables.

Agreed, jp is really good too.

Sure they weren’t a Smiths cover band?

As Morrisey points outs, “meat is murder.”

Think I’ve seen that scrawled on some walls here and there.

Kitchen aromas aren’t very homely! It’s not comforting, cheery or kind! It’s sizzling blood and the unholy stench…of murder!

if morrisey celibate vegan is punk then I am hip hop, yo.

Heavy words are so lightly thrown, Just Sayin’.
