Subletting a room with roommates

Call the tenant’s hotline- (612) 728-5767. If you go to the U, you can ask someone at their office for students.

And, uh, don’t take legal advice from random people on the intertubes.

Why do you call it the Intertubes?

teh intertubes is a reference to Senator Ted Stevens “its not a dump truck, you can’t just load more stuff on it….its a series of tubes….”

In future references, I’m going to call it the Interwebsnetstubes.

No one has done that, yet. I have coined that term.

On Google:

Your search – Interwebsnetstubes – did not match any documents.

It is between you and the landlord and although the other renters in the house don’t have to agree, have your landlord give you the agreement in writing. Also, check into what happens to your part of the deposit and if you are still held responsible for anything after you move out – most sublets do not release you from obligation unless the landlord agrees to do so.

Yepnope gave you the renters hotline, but if you live in Minneapolis the number is 612. 673. 3003 as Minneapolis’ renter rights differ from other cities.

Here is the website as well:
