Head out before 10 pm local time; Bring a lawn chair or sleeping bag; Dress warmly. A thermos of hot chocolate is optional, but highly recommended; Get away from city lights. There are going to be a lot of meteors this week, and the Science Buzz Blog has more tips.

Gonna have to make it a point to sit out tomorrow night…
Got a perfect place where there aren’t any city lights. I was out there about a month ago looking up at the stars. It seemed like all the stars had been turned up by about two or three orders of magnitude.
The best time to be out is about an hour or two before sunrise.
