"Good Question" needs to be done by someone who is comfortable with the public and by a reporter that the public feels comfortable with. I nominate Jason DeRusha (provided this is something he wants to commit himself to). I would rather see this segment go to a reporter who's been with WCCO a while, instead of giving this to a new reporter. A lot of channel 4's better reporters feel comfortable doing what they are doing than doing a specialized report such as "Good Question". Examples are Heather Brown and Pat Kessler and Jeanette and Bill Hudson who do "Finding Minnesota". My 23 year old would just love being approached by the lovely JT on the street anytime. My kids and I just love Ben and wish him the best!!!!!

Your manager thinks "Good Question" should be replaced with "Great Question". If you could get that Beakman guy that would be killer w/ more filler.

I vote that "Good Question" throws in a fake answer every once in a while.
I'd like to see it go the way of the Soviet Union - the trash bin of history. Take 90 seconds or whatever and fill it with actual news. It's hard enough to take a newscast seriously when the anchor pops in with an editorial, throwing in a "good question" doesn't help.

I like Good Question. But then I also like "Beakman's World", especially during the Alanna Ubach years.

I won't miss it... it was always the same boring format...

-ask some "ever wonder question"
-interview folks on Nicollet Mall
-pose question...
-interview ___ from the University of Minnesota
-few more quick soundbites
-cut

I'm sure it will live on without Benji

Jason-

I think the 'Good Question' segment could be scaled back a bit, now that Ben is leaving. Maybe it could be a weekly feature. Sometimes it seems like WCCO tries to turn every story into a 'Good Question', which has made the segment less interesting than when it first began.
