The couple called police Tuesday to report the burglary, and Sanders said he told an officer about the missing gun.

“He asked if it was registered, I said no. It was bad. He really gave me the fifth degree,” Sanders said. “At end of it all, I said I’ve got to protect my family.”

Wow, the police have ratcheted things up a couple of degrees in their interrogations, eh? Back in my day, they only gave people the third degree.

What’s your angle on this, CCC?

…and an unregistered, loaded handgun.
Eugene Sanders III, 21, his girlfriend, Melissa Capel, also 21, and their 3-year-old son, Eugene Sanders IV
Not to mention the pistol tucked behind the cushions of the family couch.
Capel, on probation through 2010 on a felony conviction for passing bad checks, said she had no idea the gun was in the home.

Sound like a real bunch of winners, feel sorry for the kid. Burglar probably saved his life though, and he doesn’t even know it.

Only 25 tears, huh? Not 96?

I am proud of that chicken for keeping the treasure safe.

So many teardrops! Cry cry cry!

(I thought the same thing when I read Max’s Typo)

It’s too many teardrops for one gizzard to be crying
Too many teardrops for one tag to carry on

“Registered” handgun?

No such thing in the state of Minnesota, AFAIK.

Nice yellow journalism, though.
