uhhh… DJ Dirty Duke…
10:41 am
Mei Young, Jason Nagel, Dan Donovan, Bill DeVille, Mark Wheat, Wally Walker, Dave Dworkin, Tom Barnard and Dan Culhane (before Barnard became a complete ass), Mary Lucia (I guess), Brian Oake (I guess), Kevin Cole, Brad Savage….OK, that’s all I can think of right now…who were some more of the old Rev 105 DJ’s? Peter Jesperson had a great show on Rev 105. How about KJJO?
10:43 am
There are only 2 DJs who matter in this town and they’re both working on the same station:
Mark Wheat and Mary Lucia.
If I were banished to a desert island and forced to pick one single person to DJ the soundtrack to the rest of my days I would happily choose either one. If Brian Oake worked at the same station he’d be worthy of consideration also.
As far as old-timers, all other FM radio DJs are idiots and it is just a matter of degree.

DJ Wuh?
Techno-ravey sounding… fast tempo, great rythm… not sure when (or where) he’s gonna be next, but he’s good.
10:47 am
Bill DeVille’s juicy house beats really get my boo-tay shakin’!
10:48 am
I heard a guy named Ugly Del Roberts on the radio just before he died a few years ago. They said he wasn’t really ugly, just kinda fat.
10:49 am
DJ Spanky McPumpkin – you won’t of heard of him, he’s very, very underground. So underground, in fact, that you won’t find any evidence of him existing, so don’t even bother. Far too cutting edge for the likes of Mnspeak readers.
10:50 am
So we’re talking about radio DJs here? I was going to vote for Big Mama J, but I don’t know if she’s on the radio…
10:53 am
I don’t know how anyone named Spanky McPumpkin could be cutting edge.

Shut up Teucer and The Rat; you’ve said too much.
10:59 am
I guess you haven’t heard of DJ Chadwick C Chaddesen III Jr (call me “Chad”), then, Rat? Apparently uncool names are where it’s at with the kids these days.
11:07 am
Hines and Berglund’s atomic trance beats really get my boo-tay shakin’!
11:11 am
Say what you will, Hines and Berglund gave Minnesota “Hubba Hubba Zoot Zoot.”
11:18 am
Barry Siewert, Rob Sherwood, Chuck Knapp and Michael J {donuts} Douglas, Jim Brunette, Hines and Berglund, Hal Hoover,

I’m thinking that that whole banishment-to-a-deserted-island thingie might work out for you.

“not sure why this was categorized radio, but whatever. the first four DJs i listed were club DJs in the 80s.“
Well, the Moondog (Freed) was bigtime radio, plus, consider that there are people out here who read what you just typed and think “what’s a club DJ?”

DJ FRANCO
He spun the now dead “International Nights” at just about every hot downtown spot old and new. but most note worthy he did Wednesday nights at Nochee, Thursday nights at Mel’s Beauty Bar, Saturday nights Lounge, Loring Pasta Bar, and the Times and many others.
If you ever wondered where every Bosnian, Serb, Arab, Russian, and Persian that resided in MN loved to go out, its wherever DJ FRANCO is playing.
Long Live Franco!
