This news geek would like to see a couple a charts one would be all departures from which pubs…print or web…and where they move
to…maybe retirement, maybe their own blog, maybe to another pub
print or online, maybe to an entirely new pub…like Minnesota Monitor,
Joel Kramer’s new pub…etc.

Only then can the true course and magnitude of all these changes
be seen and understood.

Ya…I know…geek!

But I know others here, there and everywhere would like the same information….maybe throw in salary info too? what salary???

How about a political POV chart, too.

Now that I’ve been freed from the mainstream media muzzle–where I was required to be neutral while MNSpeak was part of my beat, I’d just like to say this to bud jr. and justpbob: Bite me.
I had a journalism career long before I ever married a Rybak. Those who know me well laugh like hell every time one of you guys brings up the mayor because my name is mentioned. Second, if you can find an article or an opinion piece where I have conveyed some sort of “lefty” credentials–or any political slant at all–please post here.
I certainly don’t mind being judged on my writing or my acidic personality, but you guys are just making stuff up–and it’s not even very good made-up stuff. Try harder.

Well, that’s the internet. A great new thing, but definitely not for the fainthearted. Type in a few symbols and you’ll find what you need to raise those nutrias and arrange flowers for them, and then the next click’ll take you into something raw and primal and so deeply, essentially offensive that you’ll wonder that you’ve not just blown out a vein in your head and flopped bloody-eared to the floor.

Yeah, it isn’t far from “nutrias” to “nude trios.”

To clarify my somewhat cryptic comment that earned my first official DR “Bite me,” I was referring to a conversation with Tom at The Local some time ago that only partly remember, perhaps because of the fine Irish whiskey Tom bought for Jason and I. Also, the Ryback I refer to is RT, not thee, D.

I look forward to reading your byline in The Rake, and more unleashed commentary (and posts?) on MNspeak. We could use some fresh participants on this site…

According to Ms. Rybak, she’s not so much a full-fledged member of the Bartel Cartel as she is briefly guesting on Lambert’s blog.

Thanks for that rousing MNSpeak welcome..but my, my, my..for such a rough crowd, y’all certainly got into a dither about a simple “bite me.” Where I come from (California, or newsroom, take your pick), that’s like telling someone to have a nice day…
