And as for those prepaid taxi rides: holy cow are they expensive! I’ve never taken a cab from downtown to the MG, though. Maybe it costs $70. Crazy.

If you have a Metropass and sign up for their Guaranteed Ride Home program you get two free passes every 6 months to use in case you need to get home immediately for an emergency or you stay at happy hour too long and miss the last bus. Only good for $25 toward the cab ride but you can use both as once.

Do you use the whole card when you get a ride home? Or can you use part of it one time and part of it the next?

Good idea though
