Borlaug has remained unknown, anonymous, and unheralded, all by his own choice. When he got the Nobel, he basically said he knew it really wasn't meant to honor him individually, but to honor advancement in agriculture, and they just came across his name first. Classy guy.<br /> <br /> Oh, and, note to self: drive slower in St. Paul this Saturday. (They announce these things? I suppose that saves them lots of that pesky ticket-writing time.) As I recall, she lived in the building he torched --his bright idea was to "save her" and be a hero.
