Hi,
This is BBC World, London. We are producing a global conversation program World Have Your Say and would like to invite you to join our discussion regarding the Muslim taxi drivers in Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport by phone. We find you raise some interesting points regarding the drivers at http://www.mnspeak.com/. It would be great if you can share your thought with us and other callers from all over the world.
If your are willing to join, please reply to give us your contact number promptly and we will call you when the programme is on air. Our programme will begin at 1800-1900 GMT April 19. You can see check your local time at http://www.worldtimeserver.com/. More about us at http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/worldhaveyoursay/

That’s awesome! You should go on the show.
11:16 am
does 1800 GMT = 2PM CST?
11:17 am
yes, CST is GMT-6
11:18 am
At first glance I thought this said “The BSC reads MNSpeak”, and I was thinking, why is Kevin posting something about the Baby-Sitters Club book series on MNSpeak? I mean, I read them when I was a pre-teen too, but it seems out of place.
And then I read it again and felt silly.
Anyway, this is very cool, and if I had a well-formed opinion on the matter it’d be great to be a part of it.
11:18 am
I got one of those emails too!
11:19 am
I thought it was 6 p.m. CDT.

No, 1800 GMT = 1 pm CDT. At least that’s what this site tells me.
11:23 am
If the BBC were reading this; they would think we don’t know how to check the time!
11:24 am

I do plenty of work. That’s why I don’t post for days on end.
I just manage to find time between computer junk I do to post on normal days.
2:51 pm
Christ, people, she included a link to tell you the local time.
And it calculated that the show would air at 1 pm our time. Which is/was incorrect.
I blame world climate change.
4:55 pm
FYI, today’s program is now up at the BBC World Have Your Say site under the “Thursday” link on the right. The Minneapolis story is 24 minutes in.
4:59 pm
Er, I spoke too soon. Well, 24 minutes in at least gets you past the gunman stuff.
5:03 pm
Okay, 38 minutes in for the win.
5:03 pm
I got that same e-mail.
Well, almost – mine was slightly different, in that it said “We find you raise some interesting points regarding the drivers at http://www.mnspeak.com/, unlike some of those dippy little “We Are The World” punk-urban wannabes who seem to think that cannibalism is okay unless it’s American cannibals.”
