I was going to guess the new editor was Aaron…thank goodness it isn’t Marsh!
2:07 pm
wow…matt’s single biggest critic (other than Tom) gets the nod.
2:08 pm
Hey a Hedy link! Sweet!
2:23 pm
That blog rules!
2:38 pm
haha!
2:50 pm
Hedy’s blog is great, but homegirl is going to need an AA intervention @ some point.
3:03 pm
Give it up for AA interventions!

re: the SW corridor
it would be asinine to build another light rail line to the burbs and completely bypass every urban neighbourhood anywhere near it, especially one of the most heavily transit-dependent neighbourhoods in town (uptown/lynlake). If they pick any route other than the one through uptown, this city fails at life.
3:09 pm
In Hedy’s defense, she was the 3rd or 4th least drunk person Saturday night. I was #1 or #2 in the most drunk category. Yes, that is me with a fake penis in my ear. I win(?)
3:09 pm
is that blog SFW?
3:13 pm
The guy with the dog in his ear always wins.
3:14 pm
Er, dong.
3:14 pm
Dog dong.
3:18 pm
FYI, Hedy’s blog is normally SFW, though the links in my previous comment contain a couple of photos that are questionable (as the mention of a fake penis would imply).
3:20 pm
my blog is all about feelings.
3:20 pm
wtf is just a modern guy…of course he’s had it in the ear before.
3:21 pm
Usually I don’t wince like that when I get it in the ear.
3:24 pm
Drunk is a feeling. So is hunger.
3:27 pm
And I’m hooked on a feeling!
3:31 pm
Thanks for pointing Hedy out to us, whoever did it. She’s a riot. I’m hoping she’s the new editor.
3:43 pm
Wasn’t it Family Guy that had kids doing it in the ear because non-ear sex was immoral?

As usual, Wayne is completely wrong. Uptown/Lyndale is well connected to transit. I lived there for years, it’s great. I’d be sad to lose the great bike trail that runs up betwixt the lakes into DTMPLS, but it’s really the best place and wouldn’t slow down the line the way running it up through Uptown would.
Hedy’s cats: I think they’re evil, which is awesome, because we all know evil cats are the best. And give the kid a break, she’s in lawr school.
3:48 pm
If the new ballpark were open, tomorrow’s game two would be played at 32 degrees and in an inch of snow.
I hope they’re still looking into filling the seats with a radient hot water system.
3:56 pm
Baseball should be played in the great outdoors. But not when it’s 32 degrees. Or snowing. Or 90 degrees with 98% humidity. Or cloudy. Or mildly breezy. Is it too late to add a roof to it? Or at least a sturdy tarpaulin?
3:59 pm
Kevin, they don’t have to sacrifice the bike trail to build LRT down that section of the greenway. There are creative ways to get around that, which might cost more but would pay off in the long run. Or did you mean the cedar/keniworth/whatever trail?
And I think you missed my point, Kevin. I know the transit connections are good in that area, and what I’m saying is that because transit is already so heavily utilized it makes no sense to route a major transit improvement completely around a neighbourhood that would likely make heavy use of it. It would be like building the central corridor AROUND the U instead of through it.
4:02 pm
Oh and PS, running the line through uptown won’t really slow it down much because it will be grade-seperated all the way until it hits Franklin/stevens square.
4:30 pm
Hedy rocks and wine is good for your heart! Engineers and lawyers need to drink more!
4:31 pm
Ya, tunneling through there is a totally good idea, totally great idea. THe perfect idea. Better than any idea I’ve ever heard of. And yes, let’s bypass the U. That would definitely speed up the central corridor line. And I was talking about the trail that runs from the Greenway up to those old train tracks, past the flat box house. That trail is the best.
my blog is all about feelings.
w/e. Go jurisprudence yourself, or something.
4:37 pm
Oh yeah, that trail is pretty grand. I ride it all the time, and if they’d shit or get off the pot with the twins stadium that trail will eventually reach the river road!
You seem kind of snappy today, though, kevs.
4:59 pm
Kwatt: If you met my cats you would love them. Why are you so snappy today?
5:17 pm
Here is a MNSpeak commuter vehicle…
5:23 pm
I think we all need to get together and ride the pedalpub.
5:25 pm
yes, yes we do.
5:33 pm
# LAWS AND ORDINANCES
The PedalPub adheres to all pertinent laws and ordinances, especially regarding alcohol.
# FOOD AND BEVERAGES
The PedalPub does not sell, supply or serve any food or beverages. Renters are welcome to bring aboard any permissable food and beverages that they desire.
So what exactly does that mean?
5:35 pm
It means public consumption laws likely make it illegal to drink beer on the PedalPub when its operated on most streets. Fuckity boo.
5:37 pm
that’s what flasks are for
5:52 pm
did mnspeak just stroke out there for a second?
5:53 pm
“Kevin, they don’t have to sacrifice the bike trail to build LRT down that section of the greenway.“
The newest proposal, for cost purposes, has the bikers actually hooking up to and towing the trains through the corridor, proving your point.
7:29 pm
From the Internet:
A man sat down at a bar, looked into his shirt pocket, and ordered a double scotch.
A few minutes later, the man again peeked into his pocket and ordered another double. This routine was followed for some time, until after looking into his pocket, he told the bartender that he’s had enough.
The bartender said, “I’ve got to ask you – what’s with the pocket business?”
The man replied, “I have my lawyer’s picture in there. When he starts to look honest, I’ve had enough.”
Go HEDY! My wife’s an attorney. And if this thread is accurate, you’re off to a good start.
10:07 pm
Man, Hedy’s blog is more popular than I thought! She’s so mysterious. I wonder what her real name is… could it be Golgotha? Thus, the nom de plume…? teehee!
11:28 pm
I’m snappy because it’s baseball season and I couldn’t get my cable on Saturday because of the secret control room no one told me about and today the fucking guy never returned my calls so I’m missing a baseball game right now and I can’t take any more time off work this week cause I left early today to meet the fucker so I won’t have cable until Thursday assuming this clown ass calls me back and that means I’ll miss at least two Twins games and who knows how many other ESPN games or WGN or TBS even though TBS has way fewer games now because of Turner South. So yes, my south is pissed and if you understand that little joke you’ll know why I’m all fuckity boo. I’m thinking maybe just going to both games so I can see them. I miss Herb.
12:34 am
wasn’t sure if this was worthy of its own post…reminded me of this
8:42 am
Kwatt:
KSTP AM 1500 has the Twins.
8:50 am
The game last night was on 29 also.
That’s a UHF channel.
You will need a hoop antenna.
9:22 am
I have a loop antannae and a radio you clown asses. It’s Masters week, too, which makes this a really bad time to not have cable. I am so angry I could vote for Rybak again.
9:31 am
I am so angry I could vote for Rybak again.
Heh. Still not so angry you can’t come up with lines like that.
All sides agree on one thing — the cable TV companies are owned and operated by Satan.
9:51 am
I hate Satan.
10:07 am
If not for golf on TV I’d have a hard time deciding what to watch while napping. I call “Masters Nappers Week”
10:31 am
y’all are just so into hedy because she’s hot
10:32 am
Hail Satan!
11:49 am
Well, if you lived in st paul, you’d drink heavily too…heh.
11:56 am
who has your name?
12:23 pm
holy crap I read your blog and my head nearly exploded
12:23 pm
in a good way
1:31 pm
Wayne, I think it’s me that has it, but I’ll be damed if I can remember my password from when I signed up many years ago…I’m slow today…
Oh, and thanks!
1:35 pm
Oh, ferchrissakes, I just remembered my login…
1:50 pm
oh there it is
