“Near Uptown and Eat Street?”

By my reckoning, Uptown is nowhere near Eat Street. Uptown is roughly defined, looking east, as being between Lake Calhoun and Lyndale. Eat Street (i.e. Nicollet Ave.) is considerably further east than Lyndale. Or does anything near or along Lake St. from Calhoun to 35W now qualify as being “Uptown?”

Jes’ wonderin’.

Nicollet and Lyndale are only six blocks apart. If you live on Pleasant (for example) you’re only three blocks off eat street and three blocks from the edge of Uptown, as you define it. I’d say that’s close to both.

Can someone explain to me, honestly, what a “Loan Originator” does that warrants such huge sums of money to be paid to them? Seriously?

PS, I can fill out paperwork too, but nobody cuts me in for a percentage of the loan.

Originators do fill out all the applicant paperwork, yeah, but they also chase down leads to sell loans, do the background checks on applicants, and all the basic scut-work of putting applicant packages together for appproval.

Yeah, and that justifies the kind of money they make how? They are absurdly overcompensated for such remedial work. I’ll bet every competant AA in a moderately busy office setting could do a loan originator’s job in their sleep, yet they’re paid peanuts in comparison.

More examples of how life isn’t fair, I know. But anyone who spouts off crap about ‘the free market’ needs to take a look at examples like this. No one is rewarded according to ability anymore.
