Truly depressing.

Fucking pigs.

Disgusting. From his past, sounds like he’s a real bad apple.

yeehaw let’s round up some a-rabs

one super-confused fella. this maybe a symptom of how the war of ideas is being conducted domestically.

Just a couple of suggestions of how antagonism could have arisen between cops and Ellison: he was a criminal defense lawyer, and he did introduce a bill in the legislature that would have decriminalized making false reports of brutality against a cop.

ah yes, the thought police. Now both literally and figuratively.

You can find a dozen or so conservative bloggers in this town who make the same claim at least once daily.

I’m calling RT today and you should too.

This kind of scum should not be patrolling our streets.
No wonder people are afraid to talk to the police or come forward as witnesses. This guy should lose his job and pension.

Here is the contact information for the Minneapolis Police Federation.

Please take a minute to express your disgust that this complete asshole is the VICE PRESIDENT of the federation.

So he’s cooked in your opinion based on hearsay evidence from unnamed sources?

“…opinion based on hearsay evidence from unnamed sources?”

Good enough to start a darn tooting war, I’d say!

Bit of a non sequitur, there.

If you were under his command would you let them use your name?

The guy is in his forties and is still getting in street fights!
Is this the type of person we want as a leader for our police force?

I asked a question. I’ll assume your answer is yes, Simpleton.

I find this story shocking…NOT.

Tom, I wonder if this cop is aware of Ellison’s legal background. I suspect not.

So he’s cooked in your opinion based on hearsay evidence from unnamed sources?

I think you have a dubious notion of what hearsay is. This was a first hand account of these two officers having heard him actually say it. Just because they declined to give their names does not make it hearsay.

hear·say Pronunciation[heer-sey] noun 1. unverified, unofficial information gained or acquired from another and not part of one’s direct knowledge: I pay no attention to hearsay.
2. an item of idle or unverified information or gossip; rumor: a malicious hearsay.

Here is another Tidbit about Lt. Bob Kroll.

City Pages:

Sgt. Robert Kroll was demoted for three months in 2003 for “ethical violations.” And in 1994 Kroll was initially suspended for five days for excessive use of force, but that decision was later overturned by then-Chief John Laux.

This guy is a stellar citizen.

I think you have a dubious notion of what hearsay is.

Since you want to throw the dictionary definition at me I don’t know that it’s dubious, as it seems to follow the definition. Maybe a little looser than your idea of hearsay, but certainly not dubious.

Hate to say it, but the pig is kind of hot, even with the stache.

Rat, it came from direct testimony of witnesses. There’s no way that’s hearsay.

Listen, I suppose mustache cop is entitled to his opinion, but one would think that it doesn’t suit the public safety standards to have a policeman who can’t tell the difference between a terrorist and a congressman, and neither does it speak well that someone who will almost certainly have to deal with Muslims that he doesn’t even know what they’re called.

Racists like curtis, T-Paw, and this fink pig cop will be shitting themselves when Obama is Prez.

I am certain he meant to say “terrorist sympathizer”, which is accurate.

But the libtards will be reminded that he didn’t actually “call” him ANYTHING, according to what I read.

He simply stated “we are at war with the Islamic”, which is certainly true.

Support our men in blue AND in desert camo!

And since when is ‘terrorist” a “slur” as the Strib headline shouts?

Have the PC police added another ” naughty word ” to their list?

How about radical fascist Muslim jihadist?

Does that cover it?

Sparber, put down your sazerac, your post is out of context.

Go back and read the Strib piece again.

God damn, you’re diverced from reality, bus, evidenced by your ongoing abuse of quotation marks.

Terrorist isn’t simply a slur if it’s untrue — said aloud in a public forum, it’s slander.

He simply stated “we are at war with the Islamic”, which is certainly true.

I don’t even know where to start with that. We’re at war with Iraq, which was a secular nation before we invaded it, and almost certainly will be a fundamentalist Muslim country. So not only are we not at war with “the Islamic,” we’re actually actively helping them, as we did when we armed the Jihadists in the eighties and nineties, and as we did when we trained and supported Saddam Hussein.

But, you know, there’s no point about worrying about facts when you’re a racist.

Once again bud jr proves that there really is NO CEILING when it comes to RACIST, SEXIST, HOMOPHOBIC, “PATRIOTIC”, FASCIST, MORONIC, SERIAL KILLING, PIGS on the Internet.

Pretty safe to say Kroll’s issues are more deep-seated than an antagonistic relationship with Keith Ellison would spawn.

Raindog, time for your meds.

Slander, is it? Is terrorist sympathizer slander then, too?

Then that means terrorism is bad then, right?

Huh.

Anyone in the armed forces would tell you the bad guys are the Islamic fundamentalist jihadists.

You know, Al Queda.

Don’t you people read anything other than these burger joint postings?

So what would an officer have to do to lose you respect Bud Jr?

I also wonder in what world do you get put on leave for 3 months for ethical violations and then get promoted within 2 years? I know where I work if you get caught with an ethical violation you will find all your personal effects at the security desk.

Respect?

Is THAT what the war on terror is about?

Police work is a dirty thankless job sometimes.

You know, you’re doing the equivalent of dressing as Napoleon and speaking in tongues right now, bud.

bud jr is unabashedly unafraid to get down on his knees for any cop– no matter the circumstances.

That much is clear.

bud jr = cop concubine

Perhaps Ang Lee will “do you” in his next film, bud.

It don’t take a degree to recognize crazy. You just look for the guy whose shitting in his pans, bathing in urine, and claiming that Ellison is a terrorist sympathizer, and there you have it — psychosis.

I love how bud jr. says “reactionary liberal” like it’s a bad thing. Republicans don’t react…they like to plan their pack of lies and half-truths WAY far in advance.

We’re at war with bud jr.

Several of you are quite apparently at war with yourselves.

You just fried my brain banana with your circuitous logic!

It’s just plain logic, granted it’s anethema to liberals.

Actually, bud, you’re wrong, Max is right – circuitous logic isn’t “plain logic”, it’s fallacy.

Which means – just so you understand – it’s bunk.

Ooo, ooo, Mr. Kotter, Mr. Kotter…suck me into this!!!!

OK, so if we’re at war with “the Islamics” (which why hasn’t ANYONE said isn’t a noun in this sense…where’s Nathan, the English teacher), doesn’t that mean that “the Islamics” are at war with “the Christianitites”? And if that’s the case, how do all of you feel who are American Jews or Hindus or Agnostics or Aethists or real America-loving Muslims that you’re all being lumped into this???

Bud, do you really believe that all Muslims are terrorists? If so, please. Just say so and let’s be on with it.

This is insane. Anyone who says such a thing, regardless of their political views, are in a word “stupid.” And, Bud, I’ve been through this before, I’m not a “liberal”…but I’m not “stupid” either.

Of course, Nathan, if you do proofread this thread, ignore my post.

Considering his grasp on world politics, Kroll probably lives in Bachmann’s district.

Bottom line, Ellison is the elected representative of the people of the fifth district. If some thug cop or some asshat on a message board doesn’t like that I really don’t think anyone cares. But if that cop starts spouting off about it, has past run ins with city coucil members who are black, and a history of police brutality, he gets everything coming to him.

It’s just plain logic, granted it’s anethema to liberals.

No, it’s just what you might think without really thinking or knowing about it. It’s kinda like “Garage Logic.” Do you listen to that show?

The wussification of america continues.

I’d say the wussification of america is embodied by aging white males desperately clinging to a 1950’s vision of their power but coming up empty, impotent and incompetent in every way. What happened to accountability? I thought that was the mantra of republicans, and after 6 years in total power, 5 years mired in Iraq, more lives lost than in 9/11, what do you have to show for it? And don’t say “No turrest attack in Amurica”, because all of the lives lost in Iraq surely count as much.

I heard about that crazy Thai film! Give us a review later, Max.

Max…you forgot about the 12 year old thai hooker.

Jesus! How could I forget him?

I think you have a dubious notion of what hearsay is. This was a first hand account of these two officers having heard him actually say it. Just because they declined to give their names does not make it hearsay.

– - -

Okay, I’m stuck in my office in a deserted and dead-silent building, and feeling bored and anal-retentive, so . . .

If you’re reading a factual account in a newspaper, it’s all hearsay to you, unless the reporter is telling you exactly what she saw herself.

If I tell you directly “I saw X happen,” that’s not hearsay to you. If I tell you directly “Bill says he saw X happen,” that’s hearsay to you. If a reporter tells you “Bill says he saw X happen,” that’s hearsay to us readers, but wasn’t hearsay from Bill to the reporter.

If the unnamed officers actually made those statements directly to the reporter, then it wasn’t hearsay to her, no matter whether she gives their names or not. If someone else told the reporter that the unnamed officers said those things, that would be hearsay to the reporter. Giving or not giving their names has no impact on whether this was hearsay.

Now, having said all of that, remember that (the subset of {most Mpls cops}) and Ellison have always hated each other, with passion and zeal.

.

“I’m gonna go see that crazy Thai film at the Lagoon tonight. Then get drunk. Then fall down.”

Sounds like a Sparber weekend.

Both Kroll and Ellison are bad people, and get ahead by speaking out of their but. And they think they are protecting others when they are just touting themselves.

And they think they are protecting others when they are just touting themselves.”

– - –

You’d think that the Bosacker episode would dissuade these people from touting themselves in public.

.

a cop i know who’s been on the st. paul police force once told me, “being a cop is attractive to two kinds of people, those who truly believe in the system and those who would probably otherwise become involved in the system.”

LOL and true respectively on the last two posts

Christians have been trying to kill us all off for thousands of years. They’ll keep trying. Sometimes they’re more successful than others.

One of these days Christians will take being Christ-like seriously. But it ain’t today.

Eventually she changed her identity and left town. It was the only way she could escape.

Kind of puts the Bosacker incident in perspective, don’t ya think?

These two cops on the MPLS PD force were probably been at Mac Hammond’s church so many times in which they managed to drink the Pat Robertson kool aid by selling their souls to the right-wing, evangelical crackpots out there.

BudJr: Probably one newspaper’s your limit. But rest up your lips and see if you can get through this lengthy piece in the PiPress today about an ex-cop who actually is working to enable the violence of home-grown and worldwide terrorists. Maybe it’ll better focus your otherwise ham-handed, indiscriminant dudgeon toward Rep. Ellison and other blameless American Muslims:

A TALE OF 501 GUNS
An ex-cop turns to gun trafficking, spreading his deadly wares to criminals and terrorism suspects nationwide, including Minnesota. Hundreds of his weapons remain in unknown hands.
