National Geographic has recently added Minneapolis to its series
“Traveler Magazine’s Walks of a Lifetime” postcasts.
This 17 minutes podcast is narrated (written?) by Rudy Maxa who starts off stating that Minneapolis is “one of this country’s most livable cities” but it mostly focuses upon the Mississippi waterfront.
Are there any other “walking tour” podcasts about the history/architecture/neighborhoods of the Twin Cities?

Huh. I had no idea Rudy Maxa lives right here in St. Paul. Watching his “Smart Travels” show on TPT is one of my guilty pleasures.
Sweet podcast series, though–I thought I’d just download the Minneapolis episode, but I think I’ll just give ‘em all a shot.
I really need a vacation.

I was going to suggest that the MN Historical Society do one for the St. Anthony Falls riverwalk area (where they have all the interpretive signs posted), but then they didn’t even call me for an interview.

This has no comments because most people at work can’t listen to podcasts. Text is much better! I don’t like this new trend of audio-only podcast stuff popping up on the internet without accompanying transcripts. As some of our occasional-friends around here might say, it’s total hearie discrimination.

That guy hates St Paul.
