I love the quote in the KSTP Article about the gas-fueled-gas-explosion:

“It was enough to make it look like mushroom clouds,” said witness Hope Donald.

I was there last night. Mushroom clouds? Really? Witnesses say great stuff. Some lady told me her house felt like an earthquake was happening.

It was a cool fire, though. No one was hurt… flames going nuts. I still stink like smoke. Like mushroom cloud smoke.

Any explosion powerful enough makes a mushroom cloud. It’s nothing unique to nuclear explosions like everyone seems to think, just a consequence of the dynamics of sudden combustion in open air.
