As if our Twincy: FilmTown™ wasn’t already robust enough, local filmmakers take over the super high-powered dual lazer projection screen out at the Alamo Drafthouse all weekend with a selection of short films made especially for the non-profit volunteer-run Z-Fest. Now in its incredible tenth go-around, the festival includes an impressive 37-film screenings, a trailers contest (check them out!) and then a follow-up fancy awards ceremony. Go for at least a night—or all the nights to really get the film festival experience. (Image from Utopia Planitia, which we’re psyched to see.) Friday, March 1st-Sunday, March 3rd. $10 per session, $40 all sessions.Curt Stanski
