We couldn’t choose which of these really fun tap room celebrations to shine our special light upon, so we’ll mention all three. All weekend Boom Island Brewing hosts Boom Days, a multifaceted party that includes a lot of their much-anticipated Cuvée de Boom (launched with help from the Twin Cities French Horn Club!), a 5K, a stage with bands including Eleganza!, and a Sunday filled with brewer talks. It will be Two Years of Awesöme at Bauhaus Brewing on Saturday, and the brewery will bring in some music from funky soulsters Nooky Jones and haus band rockers Viva Knievel, while also doing custom screen printed hypercolor t-shirts. And on Friday Fair State Brewing Cooperative serves up the limited-edition Dakota Skipper Endangered Reserve beer that raises funds for Minnesota Zoo’s Prairie Butterfly Conservation Program and the disappearing pollinators.
