Regular Readers know we’re huge fans of the Trylon fka the Trylon microcinema. The spot may be a few (nicer) seats bigger, but they still retain their intimate cine vibe and still constantly program great showings and maintain cool partnerships. For example, on Wednesday Sound Unseen takes over the theater to show the MN premiere of Heavy Trip, a Scandinavian comedy about the aspirations and changing fortunes of a small town black metal band. And. And! On Thursday the duo screen a special 35mm presentation of Francois Truffaut’s The 400 Blows with special guest Justin Pierre of Motion City Soundtrack ahead of his new album release. You can also support the Trylon ahead of the screening by stopping in for a beer and some arcade games at Up-Down in Up-Town where the proceeds from machine tokens throughout the night go to the cinema! Wednesday, October 10th, 7 PM. $10.Curt Stanski
