The annual summer staging of opera in the middle of the picturesque Mill City Museum ruins has always been a cause célèbre for fans of opera and classical and, in fact, for several years the shows quickly sold out ahead of the season. The same will likely be true for the Mill City Opera’s very special (and comparatively affordable) additional quartet of performances of Giovanni Battista Pergolesi’s petite comic baroque opera La serva pardona up close at the ultra-hip Icehouse.
