Regular Readers know we stan hard on everything Liquid Music does, and the upcoming interdisciplinary show Blind Spot continues our fanboy attachment. A one-two punch of new musical compositions from Vijay Iyer and spoken prose and photography from acclaimed Nigerian American writer and photographer Teju Cole, the production powerfully ruminates on “humanity’s voluntary blindness to tragedy and injustice throughout history”. Deep stuff, but that’s the point. The night opens with new work by Iyer for piano quintet featuring musicians from the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra. Thursday-Friday. 8 PM. $30. —Hank Stacks
