We’re pumped for this show on the face of it, but it’s an especially good option for anyone seeking a few hours barricaded away from election night chatter. Tennis returns to Minneapolis for the second time this year to play a stripped down show at the Cedar. The husband and wife duo are foregoing a full band during their Solo in Stereo tour to create a more intimate staging for delivering their coy, 70’s grooves sound. Selecting the Cedar for the show was a smart move too: the venue’s layout invites an atmosphere of shared space between artist and audience. Matt Costa opens with songs from his newest album Santa Rosa Fangs, a semi-autobiographical, concept album. Tuesday, November 6, 7 PM. $20. —Isabelle Wattenberg
