Jazz rockers Todd Clouser and Bryan Nichols bring their soulful funk sound to Café Maude for their Re-imagining Massive Attack event. Selected as an “Artist on the Verge” through the New York Music Seminar and Festival, Clouser is well versed in the music industry, with talent in guitar, bass, piano, drums, and songwriting. Clouser, a Minneapolis native, currently resides in Los Cabos, Mexico, although he draws musical inspiration from all over the world. Fellow Minneapolis jazz musician Bryan Nichols lends his understanding of the piano and composition to the performance. Nichols leads and composes for his own bands and regularly plays with other well-known jazz musicians, in addition to teaching jazz at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. These two dexterous musicians come together to re-imagine the band Massive Attack’s already unique blend of distorted guitars, atmospheric melodies, and digital mixing. 7 p.m. Free. —RO
