We’ll just skip past the low-hanging fruit of local marketing agency jokes (you can easily make your own) and jump right into it . . . Local PR agency Fast Horse’s inaugural Battle MN puts to the test the musical abilities of local marketing and advertising agencies with an aim to celebrate the diverse range of artists in the area while also shedding light on the lack of diversity in the Twin Cities marketing industry. To produce and emcee the event, they’ve collaborated with the U’s CLAgeny and The Brand Lab, a local nonprofit that organizes mentorships, and proceeds support the CLAgency’s scholarship fund. Local voices Lucy Michelle, Sophia Eris and Maria Isa judge the tunes by band-ed up members of Fast Horse, Clockwork, Morsekode, Magnet360 and Target. Their performances will be punctuated by appearances from Chastity Brown, P.O.S., Dead Man Winter and Static Panic, so you’re guaranteed some good sounds, although we’re pretty curious to hear the marketing orgs jam. Thursday, December 6, 5-11 PM, $20. Isabelle Wattenberg
