Along with the excellent local Arab-American arts organization Mizna, The M launches their big fall show, History Is Not Here: Art and the Arab Imaginary. The exciting exhibition explores the “Arab imaginary” through a wide variety of visual art, book art, installation, and video pieces; we recommend getting a first look at the buzzworthy show at the opening party, which doubles as a celebration of Mizna’s 20th anniversary, with drinks, snacks, and tunes from DJ Yasmeenah. Thursday, September 13th, 6PM. Free, RSVP Requested. ——King Rojas
