What began as a side project between Kevin Morby of Woods and Cassie Ramone of Vivian Girls has grown into a full-blown band. The Babies, a lo-fi indie rock outfit, met its goal of finding a way to “trade song ideas and play house parties” and pushed the envelope further to include two album releases and an international tour. The band broadens its scope on its second release Our House on the Hill; for example, subdued guitars, a saxophone solo, and Morby’s hushed vocals take center stage on “Mean.”

The show kicks off with hazy rockers Crimes and energetic bandmates Nice Purse, creating a show that is sure to make you dance hard and be sad as soon as it’s over. That is until you jam out to Our House on the Hill again on your way home. 7:30 p.m. $10. 18+. —RO
