Supersuckers + Butchers Union + Eleganza!
If you want a sense of the vibe given off by both the raucous rockabilly legends Supersuckers and their fan base, we spent the last few days getting ready for tonight’s show by listening to their 50,000 Middle Fingers Can’t Be Wrong. That’s pretty much the ‘suckers in a nutshell! The album kicks off with “Rock ‘n’ Roll Records (Ain’t Selling This Year)”, a high octane treatise that captures the band’s “we do what we want and we do it loudly” sensibilities, an attitude that’s landed the ‘suckers alongside the likes of Willie Nelson, Steve Earle, Flogging Molly, even Motorhead. That attitude also makes for great live shows, especially with openers like Butchers Union and our own hometown heroes Eleganza! 8 PM. $15 door. —Holly Anfinson
