Waffle makers have made a renaissance in the non-waffle food groups (we’re kind of on the hashbrown waffle train ourselves), but the American Swedish Institute is here to recall the glory of their roots by honoring Sweden’s Våffeldagen, or Waffle Day, with a waffle party. Die hard vaffler traditionalists (we know you’re out there) can stick to the classic jam and whipped cream, but they’ll have a savory option too. Consider booking a slot in the Solar Egg that currently sits on the ASI’s lawn—an excellent place to warmly ponder away the food coma. Sunday, March 24th, 11 AM-3 PM.Isabelle Wattenberg
