They’re back! And on St. Patrick’s Day!? One of the most prolific pop punk bands of the 20 years you’ll likely never heard of, The Dollyrots—anchored by couple Kelly Ogden and Luiz Cabezas—have played alongside everyone from The Breeders to Shonen Knife to Paramore to The Soviettes to Joan Jett. They’ve even done a song for the Showcase Showdown on The Price is Right! Releasing six albums worth of ultra-catchy tunes on their own label and DIY funding projects like PledgeMusic (which they recently left to strike out on their own), The Dollyrots return to the Uptown VFW on St. Paddy’s for a gigantic tour stop that once again features hometown heroes The Melismatics and pop punks The Von Tramps. (They also just recorded their new album here in MN at Pachyderm studios! Let’s adopt them!) The last time with this lineup was pure pop punk mirth and merriment and we strongly suggest including it into your green beer plans. Sunday, March 17th, 7 PM. $12 advance, $15. —Taylor Carik
